WHAT'S GOING ON AT OLG
QUE ESTA PASANDO EN OLG
A Note from New Deacon Chuck and Yolande Doidge:
Dear parishioners of Our Lady of Guadalupe,
It is with joy, anticipation and excitement that we are arriving to serve you at Our Lady of Guadalupe parish. We are Deacon Chuck and Yolande Doidge. I am a native Californian, born in Long Beach and raised in Anaheim, so I haven't strayed too far from my roots. Yolande was born and raised in Egypt and moved to the United States in her teens. We are celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary this month. We have two adult children, Nicolas & Christine, both living out of state. Our son graduated from Servite High School and our daughter from Rosary High School. We obviously highly value Catholic Education!
We are both retired now. Most of my working career I was a senior claims adjuster for State Compensation Insurance Fund, a workers compensation insurance company. Yolande was a software developer for Boeing for many years. We enjoy being in nature, hiking, travel, and playing board or card games with friends.
I have just celebrated my 10th Anniversary as a Deacon, first serving at St. Philip Benizi for a year then at St. Juliana Falconieri in Fullerton. We are now very blessed to be assigned to Our Lady of Guadalupe and are really looking forward to serving our new community and working with Fr. Ed Becker, Fr. Leonel Vargas, Fr. Jake Mackowicz, Deacon Jose Manuel Chavez and the parish leadership in fulfilling Our Lady of Guadalupe’s mission and vision. We look forward to meeting all of you and journeying through this life focused on Jesus and doing the Father’s will.
In Christ,
Deacon Chuck & Yolande Doidge
Ambos estamos jubilados ahora.
