In a few weeks our parish will initiate Witness to Love. You may be asking, what is Witness to Love? According to their website: “It is a virtue based, catechumenate model of marriage renewal and formation. The Witness to Love model helps couples facilitate an authentic dialogue about their relationships with God and provides an attraction to the Church through the gift of mentoring. It helps mentor couples guide and encourage engaged couples to integrate and connect them with their parish, while reaping fruits of renewal and growth within their own marriage.”
What does this mean for our parish? Our current marriage preparation process will be replaced by this ‘mentoring’ ministry that will assist our engaged couples as well as our mentoring couples to grow in their relationship and their involvement in parish life.
Stay tuned for more information about this marriage preparation ministry.
God bless,
Deacon Chuck & Yolande Doidge
Discontinuation of face mask requirement for extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion
Please note that starting this weekend, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion will no longer be required to wear face masks as they distribute Communion. This is consistent with the relaxation of most COVID mask mandates over the past several weeks. Everyone is, of course, welcome to wear a face mask in the church if they so choose, but that is their choice, and we expect everyone to continue to be mutually respectful of one another in the choices they make in this regard.
