Second Collection: World Mission Sunday
We celebrate World Mission Sunday this weekend by remembering our baptismal call – to bring the Gospel to all! The second collection today for the Society for the Propagation of the Faith supports the work and witness of the Mission Church, as it provides for priests, religious and lay leaders who offer the Lord’s mercy and concrete help to the most vulnerable communities in the Pope’s missions. Thank you for your generosity.
Every Liturgy celebrates the Paschal Mystery. But how do we come to learn about this mystery? Mystery is not something to learn but to encounter or experience. In order to encounter this mystery, we celebrate the liturgy in words and gestures, and in ritual actions.
This 6 week, 2 hour each session course will allow the learner to come to know Christ in a detailed experiential way through the ritual of our Liturgy sometimes called the Mass or the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
When we think of ministry at the liturgy, our minds wander to “those others” who are the priest celebrants, lectors, Eucharistic ministers, altar servers, and cantors. But we miss out on the most important ministry, the ministry of the assembly. By our baptism each of us is called to come together as one, listen to God’s Word, celebrate in a sacred and sacrificial meal, then be sent out as missionary disciples to be what we become, the Body of Christ, to transform the world into the Kingdom of God.
This course is designed for any baptized adult or adult catechumen who desires to grow in their relationship with Christ.
Since Christ always wants us to do his ministry with someone else, invite someone to personally join and journey with you through this exciting way God calls us to give thanks and praise.
Join Us! October 30, 2022 after the 4:00 p.m. Mass

What is Life Teen?
Life Teen is a Catholic high school youth ministry program. It provides a safe fun place for youth to find solid Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way. Life Teen resources speak to the physical, psychological, cognitive, relational, and spiritual maturation of high school youth. Life Teen resources make it easier for youth ministers to plan out their semesters of Life Night, retreats, and to train a team of adults, the Core Team, to assist them in the ministry. The resources present Catholic teaching in a way that young people can understand.
