We are happy to announce that our Diocese of Orange leadership and La Habra city officials have approved our doing Drive-In Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament here at OLG in the back field! Beginning this Friday, May 22, we will have drive-In Adoration Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm and Friday mornings at 9:00 am.
Please note that henceforth, there will be no livestream Masses on Wednesdays. In addition, it is not possible at this time to livestream drive-in Adoration.
Please also note that for the time being, the following rules and procedures will apply for drive-in Adoration:
- Drive-in Adoration will last for a period of 30 minutes only; at this time, it is not possible to have more extended hours for Adoration nor be more flexible in scheduling.
- Because only a limited number of vehicles can be admitted for each drive-in Adoration, advance on-line reservations will be required, first-come, first-served. No vehicle without an advance on-line reservation will be admitted. Click here to reserve a space for your vehicle.
- Parking for drive-in Adoration will open 30 minutes before each drive-in Adoration. Please do not arrive or line up before that time.
- So that all vehicles can be parked and ready for the drive-in Adoration to begin on time, admission of vehicles will be closed 10 minutes before each drive-in Adoration.
- Sound for drive-in Masses will be transmitted via your vehicle’s radio – we will let you know Friday morning the radio frequency to tune to.
- All must remain in their vehicles the entire time – we are very limited in the number of people who can be outside of their vehicles in order to orchestrate the drive-in Adoration (including the priest or deacon, seminarians to serve as sacristans and assistants, parking attendants, etc.). So it is important that everyone else stay in their vehicles. Restrooms will be open for a limited number of people who need to use the restroom during the drive-in Adoration. However, if you know that it is highly likely that you or your children will have to use the restroom during the drive-in Adoration, we encourage you not to come.
- Except for medical emergencies, all must remain until the end of the drive-in Adoration and exit in an orderly manner according to the directives of the parking attendants. Vehicles that leave early for reasons other than medical emergencies will not be admitted to drive-in Adoration in the future. Those who do not value the opportunity to attend a drive-in Adoration enough to stay until the end should just not come at all nor take limited space from those who do value it.
As time goes on, we may be able to relax some of these rules and procedures. In the meantime, thank you for your patience and willingness to put in the extra effort to gather together in this manner.
Es un gusto poder anunciar que los líderes de la Diócesis de Orange y las autoridades de nuestra ciudad de La Habra nos han aprobado la Adoración al Santísimo Sacramento desde su automóvil en el campo trasero de nuestra parroquia. Comenzando este viernes 22 de mayo, tendremos la Adoración los miércoles por la tarde a las 6 pm y viernes por la mañana a las 9 am.
Tenga en cuenta que, de ahora en adelante, no habrá Misas en vivo los miércoles. Además de que, en estos momentos tampoco será posible transmitir en vivo la Adoración al Santísimo.
Por ahora las siguientes reglas y procedimientos estarán en vigor durante la Adoración:
- La Adoración tendrá una duración de 30 minutos solamente, por ahora no es posible extenderla por más tiempo o abrir otros horarios.
- Debido a que el número de espacios para los vehículos es limitado, se requiere reservación previa en línea en el orden en que sean recibidas. No se admitirán vehículos sin reservación. Haga clic aquí para reservar un espacio para su vehículo.
- El estacionamiento se abrirá 30 minutos antes de que comience la Adoración. Por favor no llegue ni haga línea antes de esta hora.
- La admisión de carros se cerrará 10 minutos antes de que comience la Adoración para dar tiempo a que todos se estacionen debidamente y podamos comenzar a tiempo con la Adoración al Santísimo Sacramento.
- El sonido será transmitido a través del radio de su automóvil – le haremos saber el viernes por la mañana la frecuencia de radio para sintonizar.
- Todos los asistentes deberán permanecer todo el tiempo dentro de sus vehículos, las únicas personas que estarán en el estacionamiento fuera su automóvil son aquellas que estarán ayudando con la organización (incluyendo sacerdote o diáconos, seminaristas, guías del tráfico, etc), por lo tanto, es muy importante que todos se queden en sus automóviles. Los baños estarán abiertos únicamente para un numero limitado de personas. Así que, si usted sabe de antemano que usted o sus niños necesitaran salir para usar el baño durante los 30 minutos de la Adoración, le recomendamos que se quede en casa para evitar contratiempos.
- A excepción de emergencias médicas, todos deberán permanecer durante el tiempo total de la Adoración y salir de manera ordenada siguiendo las instrucciones de los guías del tráfico. Quienes se retiren antes de que termine la Adoración, no se admitirán en las siguientes Adoraciones. Si usted no puede quedarse los 30 minutos que dura la Adoración, es preferible que no asista para que le den la oportunidad a quienes si pueden quedarse hasta el final.
Conforme pase el tiempo, podremos ir cambiando las reglas y procedimientos para hacerlas más flexibles. Por lo pronto, agradecemos su paciencia y voluntad de hacer un esfuerzo extra para poder reunirnos en oración de esta manera.
